COAST GUARD MEMBERS RECOGNIZED
|
The Coast Guard recognized the outstanding performance of several of its members in an award ceremony in Colorado Springs, Colo., May 12.
The annual award ceremony acknowledges Coast Guard members as well as its civilian employees within the Deployable Operations Group for their exceptional performance of duty while assigned to their units.
The recipients are:
For Outstanding Mission Support: Petty Officer 1st Class Jay Robinson of Belle Chasse, La., assigned to the Marine Security and Safety Team New Orleans.
Emergency Responders of the Year: Lt.j.g. Ryan Dickson of Semmes, Ala., assigned to the Gulf Strike Team in Mobile, Ala., and Petty Officer 2nd Class Dustin Fitzgerald of Mobile, Ala., also assigned to the GST.
Tactical Operators of the Year: Lt. j.g. Paul Leon of San Diego, Calif., assigned to Pacific Area Tactical Law Enforcement Team and Petty Officer 1st Class Pedro Lucena of Margate, Fla., assigned to Tactical Law Enforcement Team South in Opa Locka, Fla.
Civilian Employee of the Year: Carol Gilbert of Elizabeth City, N.C., employed at the National Strike Force Coordination Center in Elizabeth City.
Reserve Enlisted Person of the Year: Petty Officer 1st Class Keith Cupples of Alexandria, Va., assigned to Port Security Unit 305 in Fort Eustis, Va.
Enlisted Person of the Year: Petty Officer 1st Class Neil Gibb of Ewing Township, N.J., assigned to the Atlantic Strike Team in Ft. Dix, N.J.
